Egg yolk fat, cholesterol, and triglyceride

Friday, February 26, 2010

Just like any animal products, egg yolk fat can increase your cholesterol and triglyceride level. Egg yolk (the yellow part of the egg) is quite heavy in fat so try as often as possible to separate the egg yolk from the white area and don't eat it.

There are also rumors that you are not supposed to eat more than 2 eggs in a week, but this is debatable and I'm not sure whether it's already scientifically proven yet.

BUT, here is another story. A research actually shows that a person who eats 2 eggs a day has their cholesterol level lowered (read here). That's even more confusing, isn't it?
